Qualified
instructors are available to teach all ages and levels of subjects listed;
however, if there are not enough students of a particular age group or
level, the courses may not be offered.
THE LENGTH OF CLASS IS DETERMINED BY AGE AND LEVEL OF STUDENT.

ACROBATICS/FLOOR
GYMNASTICS:
Time is divided between warm-ups, exercise and perfection of
tumbling & gymnastics skills, which are integrated with basic dance
movement. Classes are split
by level.
|
|
BALLET/POINTE: Ballet is the FOUNDATION of all dancing.
It provides the grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient
in other areas of dance. Students
may go on Pointe only with permission from the Director and/or ballet
instructor.

|
HIP
– HOP:
A
break off of African Dance, Hip Hop will help he dancer loosen up, gain
rhythm, and have controlled isolated movements. Also the latest and greatest moves on any MTV and BET videos.
|
|
JAZZ:
Class includes isolations, stretches and footwork.
The entire body receives a workout as students are exposed to
contemporary, funk, hip-hop, and theatrical jazz style.

|
KINDERDANCE: Beginning
dance for ages 3 and 4 incorporating Ballet, Tap and Tumbling. These
dancers will need pink leather ballet slippers, black patent leather tap
shoes, black leotards, and pink ballet tights. (NO
TUTUS or SKIRTS)

(ADVANCE)
KINDERDANCE:
Beginning
dance ages 4 & 5 first & second year students incorporating
Ballet, Tap and Tumbling.
These dancers will need pink leather ballet slippers, black patent
leather tap shoes, black leotards, and pink ballet tights.
(NO TUTUS or SKIRTS)

LYRICAL/MODERN: Classes
are offered to students with a ballet and jazz background who are studying
ballet concurrently. It
encompasses balance, control, flexibility and interpretation of music with
dance. |

TAP: All
ages can enjoy the rhythms and movement of tap.
In addition to interpreting the mood of the music, students also
develop coordination of mind, body, and a more perceptive sense of rhythm,
timing, and phrasing. |
|
TECHNIQUE: The
focus is on center floor work and progressions across the floor.
To perfect proper feet and arm placement while working on turns,
jumps and extensions. |
